What Is OEM & ODMManufacturing?
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) are two distinct manufacturing models that allow brands to produce goods in China under their own label. The key difference lies in who owns the product design.
In OEM, you own the design and the factory manufactures to your specifications. In ODM, the factory owns the design and you license it, brand it, and sell it as your own. Both models are widely used by global brands to leverage China's manufacturing capabilities and cost advantages.

Original Equipment Manufacturer
You provide the design, specifications, and brand. The factory manufactures to your exact requirements. Full intellectual property protection with NDA agreements. Your product, your brand, manufactured at scale in China.
ODM Manufacturing
Original Design Manufacturer
The factory designs and manufactures the product. You select from existing designs or request modifications, then brand it as your own. Faster to market, lower R&D costs, proven product performance.
Mixed Manufacturing
Hybrid OEM + ODM Approach
Combine OEM and ODM elements in a single product line. Use factory-designed base products (ODM) and add your proprietary components, features, or modifications (OEM). The most flexible path to a differentiated product.

Project Brief Submission
Submit your product concept, target specifications, quantity requirements, budget range, and timeline. Include reference products, sketches, or technical drawings if available.
Feasibility Assessment
Our engineering team reviews your brief, assesses technical feasibility, identifies potential challenges, and recommends the most suitable OEM/ODM model for your project.
Factory Matching
We identify 2–4 factories from our verified network with the right capabilities, certifications, and capacity for your specific product category and volume requirements.
NDA & IP Protection
Before sharing any proprietary designs or specifications, we execute NDAs with all shortlisted factories. Your intellectual property is legally protected throughout the process.
Prototype Development
The selected factory develops prototypes or samples based on your specifications. For ODM, you review existing designs and request modifications. Typically 1–3 prototype rounds.
Sample Approval & Costing
Once you approve the prototype, we finalize production costing at your target volume. Detailed BOM (Bill of Materials), tooling costs, and unit economics are provided.
Production & Quality Control
Mass production begins after deposit. Our QC team conducts pre-production material checks, DUPRO inspections, and pre-shipment final inspection before any goods leave the factory.
Export & Delivery
We handle all export documentation, HS code classification, customs clearance, and freight arrangements. Goods delivered to your specified destination with full tracking.
